On Friday, November 21st our team had the privilege of coming together to photograph the Extraordinary Give. This is the second year Jeremy Hess Photographers has partnered with the Lancaster County Community Foundation to tell the story of the Extraordinary Give. We have loved to watch the event grow from mainly downtown locations to this year’s Give mobile , which traveled around the county.
The Extraordinary Give is a day set aside for 24 hours of giving to over 300 local organizations. One of our favorite things about participating in the Give is experiencing all of the energy downtown, and being able to collaborate with other businesses. Jeremy and Mark began the event capturing early morning preparations for the big day. At noon, the team met in the square to capture the hustle and bustle of Lancaster Central Market, followed by a team lunch and hot drinks at Prince Street Cafe. Later in the day Donovan, Amber and Jeff captured a press conference in the square, followed by the lighting of the Griest Building, a beautiful holiday light show displayed in the windows of a 14 story office building in the heart of downtown. Meanwhile Mark headed to Lititz with the Give mobile. As the event came to a close and the giving was being tallied, Donovan captured the Light Up Lancaster Finale Party, a celebration hosted in the Marriot that was complete with live music, giving stations and a Photo Booth.
We loved being out and about within our city, rubbing shoulders with other businesses and organizations in the county, and supporting non profits we believe in. Here’s a glimpse at our experience of the Extraordinary Give!
