From the very first time I talked with Amanda about capturing the day where she stood before her best friend, Rob, to commit her life to him, I knew that their day wasn’t going to be the least bit ordinary. Mark and I arrived at the charming Charles family farm on July 7th, a farm full of memories that has been in their family for over 200 years. We came ready to brave the 100 degree heat and capture the joy, and anticipation that was unfolding as two families were becoming one. Immediately after walking into the old farm house I was greeted by Grandma who was beaming from ear to ear, welcoming everyone into her house who wanted to join in on celebrating her granddaughter.  As I walked through the house, every square inch had a story waiting to be retold. Amanda and her girls got ready in her grandparents bedroom.  As I captured the moments unfolding in front of me,  I felt like there was a connection happening. A connection between the generations of the Charles family, where the importance in the making of the new memories was by connecting and honoring the people who pioneered before them. It was my honor to be the one connecting the dots, capturing every memory etched in time. When I found out Amanda and Rob decided to do a first look I was ecstatic.  Some of the most amazing and meaningful moments happen when a groom sees his bride for the first time, and I love the opportunity to capture the emotion. My favorite images from the day were captured when they had time just for each other , and joy flowed from the deepest parts of their hearts. It was a sweet sight when Rob looked into Amanda’s eyes and instantly a peace washed over her. There were so many tears of just utter thankfulness. The Stratmeyer wedding was one of many laughs, smiles, and memories. Mark and I were so thankful to be apart of the wedding day, so thankful to be given complete trust to capture every inch of beauty present on their day.  As a wedding photographer, there is nothing more honoring than the freedom to capture in the unique way I’ve been gifted to see beauty. Rob and Amanda STRATMEYER, thank you, thank you for letting Mark and I be apart of your love. Congrats, and blessings for you new life together.
