This past December I had the honor of Capturing Manali and Kalpesh’s Wedding. Now this wedding is unlike many other weddings I capture for a few different reasons. First off, I’ve never actually captured an Indian wedding before so learning their customs and rituals was exciting and new for me. I loved how everything that happened had a purpose and a reason. Second, I’ve never captured a three day wedding before… Yes you heard it correctly. Three. Whole. Days. Thankfully there was so much going on that I barely had time to notice how tired I was! Now this blog post doesn’t include all three days worth of photos, but it does include all day Saturday!

And Lastly this wedding was different because I typically get to know my brides and grooms for months and months before capturing their big day, however with this one, I only got to know Manali and Kalpesh 2 weeks before their wedding. I was contacted by Manali 2 weeks before her “scheduled” wedding asking if I was available to photograph. I say “scheduled” because nothing was definite except her date, her groom, and soon her photographer. Other than that she was still throwing everything together. Typically brides and grooms spend months and months if not years planning their special day. And that was Manali and Kalpesh’s original plan, until they got news that Manali’s father needed surgery. She was so set on having her father walk her down the aisle that she decided to plan her wedding in 2 weeks. With the help of her amazing family, especially her sister and uncle, they planned this spectacular wedding, that for me, will be one that I remember my entire life. The whole weekend was filled with Love, Family, and respect. I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend those three days of my life and I am so thankful that I was able to capture these photos for Manali and Kalpesh.
